Depart from your home for Italy, arriving the next day.

You will be picked up from the airport and we will then depart for Sorrento on the Amalfi Coast. Afternoon orientation around Sorrento. Have a group welcome dinner. Stay three nights near Sorrento.
OCT 18 • • •
We take a driving tour around the Amalfi Coast, visiting scenic towns such as Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello.
OCT 19 • • •
We take a private boat to Capri for the day, including a visit to the Blue Grotto, Augustus’ Gardens, and Capri town.
OCT 20 • • •
Transfer to Rome in the morning, stopping by Pompeii to visit one of the best preserved Roman towns in the world. Afternoon orientation walk in the center of Rome (seeing the first deaf school building in Italy, Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, and more). Stay three nights in Rome.
OCT 21 • • •
Visit the Vatican Museums (including the Sistine Chapel) and St. Peter’s Church, the center of the Catholic world. Afternoon is free to shop and roam Rome’s old center.
OCT 22 • • •
In the morning we take an in-depth tour of Rome, including the Colosseum, Forum, Capitol Hill, and much more. Afternoon is free. Dinner at the International Wine Academy of Rome.
OCT 23 • • •
We depart for the Val d’Orcia, one of the most beautiful parts of Tuscany. The Val d’Orcia is a UNESCO recognized site for its combination of natural and man-made beauty. We visit Montepulciano and Pienza. Continue on to Siena. Stay two nights in Siena.
OCT 24 • • •
Today we visit the beautifully preserved medieval town of Siena, and then take an afternoon side trip to San Gimignano. End our day with a visit to a deaf-owned winery.
OCT 25 • • •
Transfer to Florence. We take an orientation walk in Florence, covering the Accademia, Duomo, Baptistery, Bargello, Ponte Vecchio, and the Oltrarno. We also visit several of Florence’s beautiful churches and its Renaissance masterpieces at the Uffizi. Stay in Florence for two nights.
OCT 26 • • •
We drive to Pisa in the morning to visit the Leaning Tower. The afternoon is free to do whatever you desire in Florence.
OCT 27 • • •
Depart for Venice in the morning, and get off the well-beaten tourist trail to explore the real La Serenissima (the city’s nickname) including its lesser-known districts of Dorsoduro and S.Polo in the afternoon. Stay three nights in Venice.
OCT 28 • • •
We visit the Doge’s Palace and St. Mark’s Church in the morning, and one of Venice’s many famous art collections in the afternoon (Guggenheim for modern art, Scuola di San Rocco for Tintoretto masterpieces, Accademia for a complete overview of Venetian art).
OCT 29 • • •
Take the train to Verona for the day, or tour the islands of Burano and Murano. Have a group farewell dinner. Prepare for departure.
OCT 30 • • •
Transfer to the airport for respective departures back to your home.
